On Saturday, September 6, 2025, Kalākaua Avenue in Waikīkī will be closed to vehicle traffic between Seaside Avenue and Uluniu Avenue, transforming the city’s most famous street into a lively pedestrian festival space for the Waikīkī Street Jam. From 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, thousands will gather to celebrate with local food, live performances, artisan crafts, and the powerful spirit of aloha.
This free, family-friendly event is hosted by Millwood Ohana Productions, in partnership with Mega-Load Burgers, with proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i. Every step you take, every bite you enjoy, and every smile you share helps bring hope, joy, and life-changing wishes to keiki across Hawai‘i who are facing critical illnesses.
A Celebration of Flavors and Traditions
The Waikīkī Street Jam is best known for its food vendors and community marketplace, where attendees can savor local eats and shop from artisans. While the 2025 vendor lineup has not yet been announced, past festivals have featured a mix of local dishes, refreshing desserts, and handcrafted treasures. It’s a chance to indulge, explore, and celebrate Hawai‘i’s culinary and creative culture in the middle of Waikīkī.
Music That Moves the Soul
Throughout the evening, festival-goers can enjoy live music and cultural entertainment. The official schedule is still to come, but past events have highlighted Hawaiian mele, hula, and contemporary island rhythms. There is something deeply moving about standing under the Waikīkī night sky, surrounded by ‘ohana, visitors, and friends, as music fills the street with aloha.
Giving Back With Aloha
The heart of this festival lies in its commitment to giving back. By attending, you’re directly supporting Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i, an organization that grants heartwarming wishes for children with serious health conditions. These wishes are more than special moments—they are life-changing experiences that inspire courage, bring joy, and remind families they are not alone. Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hope, strength, and joy to children in Hawai‘i with critical illnesses. By granting life-changing wishes—whether it’s meeting a hero, traveling to a dream destination, or experiencing something magical—Make-A-Wish empowers keiki and their families with unforgettable moments that inspire courage during some of life’s toughest challenges.
