As someone who is always on the lookout for programs that center cultural healing, community connection, and personal growth, I recently came across something really special that I wanted to share with you all.
Hoakamana.org is launching a new series called “E KĀ MAU IHO I KE OLA NŌ – Thriving”, and it’s truly a beautiful offering grounded in Native Hawaiian knowledge and practice. These sessions—called Lewa—are designed to support wellness, cultural identity, and a deeper connection to ancestral wisdom. And what I love most? It’s all about thriving, not just surviving.

The series is led by cultural practitioners like Kahupōno Kanoelani Davis, Alakaʻi Kane Shimabukuro, and ʻUluʻuliani Miner-Ching, each bringing their own manaʻo and energy to the spaces they hold.
There are a number of session options, so you can choose what fits your life and energy best:

Each session offers a safe space for movement, reflection, and cultural grounding. Whether you’re Native Hawaiian, kamaʻāina, or simply interested in showing up with respect and learning through community, this is an incredible chance to be part of something meaningful.
